The Intention of the Sacred Heart Sadhana Immersion
Our intention with this 100 hour immersion is to create a space for those of you who are longing to know more about the yogic practices and how to incorporate these into your life with skill and knowledge. This immersion is for all serious practitioners who truly long to know the Truth of their being and connect to the deepest core. We’re offering this as an opportunity to create or re-connect to a fully integrated practice which supports the whole of your life, from the most dense physical form to the most subtle layers and true alignment with spirit. We have chosen to keep the number of participants to a maximum of 10, and with two teachers guiding the way, this will truly be an exclusive opportunity to get loads of physical and personal feedback.
The tools of yoga help us to engage with life's endless twists and turns in the most profound way so that every experience becomes an opportunity to grow. Instead of thinking about our life as a problem to be solved we learn to embrace the true gift of life. You will be safely and wisely guided on the path by both of us present on every module.
What will I learn during the Immersion?
Divided into 8 modules the curriculum will contain the following but not be limited to:
Sankalpa & Studentship - connect to the deep longing in your heart / why do I practice?
Philosophy - introduction to classical Tantrik philosophy and exploration of how philosophy supports and enriches our lives
Asana - alignment and technique, intelligent build and progression of asana (sequencing), patterns of movements and deep knowledge on own body patterns. How to create or refine a home practice
Mythology & Deities - how stories and deity archetypes can serve as a point of reflection and empowerment
Yoga Psychology - how to deal with difficult emotions and shadows, and how modern psychology corresponds with the ancient teachings of yoga
Mantra & Chanting - learn mantras through chanting and connection to the power of sound
Pranayama - how to harness, build and expand the life force (Prana). Learn different pranayama techniques and their effects
Meditation - guided meditations, different techniques and powerful micro-meditations. Kick-start a regular meditation practice
Energy/Subtle body - introduction to the chakras, elements and prana. How do we access and understand the energy body
What are the prerequisites to attend the immersion?
The only requirement is a deep longing and a sincere interest in the practices. And a willingness to dedicate the time!
Final words
This is not a teacher training but it gives you a really great foundation for those of you who would like to embark on a teacher training in near future. It also serves as a great inspiration for those who already teach, but who needs time and focus to move the teachings inward. We see it as a great first step in becoming immersed in practice, and really learning from your own embodied experience which is crucial if you long to share the teachings with others. It is through your own practice that you find inspiration and powerful nuggets of wisdom that enrich your teaching.
